18th FBAB Meetup on the Opening of Paradise Biryani, New BEL Road, Bangalore

The 18th FBAB meet-up came up with the invitation for Paradise Biryani's new outlet in New BEL Road, Bangalore and we were elated.
Reasons being : 1. We had heard a lot of Paradise Biryani of Hyderabad but we hadn’t tasted the Biryani and we wanted to know what’s the reason surrounding all the hulla-balloo about Paradise. 2. It was the 1st meet up for us and so, the joy can be imagined.
We reached the place at around 1pm and we were greeted warmly by the staff. And as soon as we met up our fellow foodies, we were in absolute glee. It was a wonderful experience tasting some good food.

The ambience is simple, very basic just like any dining restaurant with a sprawling seating area covering two floors. The main attraction along with the food were the photo frames of the celebrities who have visited Paradise and loved the food over time.
They served both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes one by one and we were in awe. It was one of a kind.

Subz Aur Moongphalli Seekh : This dish was a delight and you can call it the vegetarian version of Seekh kebab ! With the coating of a lot of Peanuts, it tasted great with the green chutney served alongside.

Paneer Tikka : It seemed a tad too bland, they could have added a bit more of spices for that kick. It didn’t seem like a tikka to us.It was just plain batter which was not cooked with the Paneer .

Apollo Fish:The fish was perfectly cooked and it had the right blend of spices which melted instantly in the mouth. /02/2016, 23:13] lopamudra sarkar (Lopamudra1206@gmail.com):

Mutton Seekh Kebab: Not one of the best we have tasted, but yes, it was savoured by us.It was loosely sticking together and the moment you put your fork it got shattered into pieces (Might be due to lack of Egg).

Chicken Biryani and Mutton Biryani : We love Biryanis, we absolutely do. And tell us, which non-vegetarian is not a fan of some good Biryani. The rice that they serve mixed with very little amount of spices is good but doesn’t appeal much to the tastebuds considering the fact that Paradise is a brand name. No doubt that the rice and the meat were perfectly cooked but it lacked something and the flavor, it was. The biryanis were served to us one by one with the raita infused with vegetables.

Tip :Server could have served the layers of biryani instead of serving the rice layer by layer.
Then came the Falooda, it was brilliant. The perfect blend of vermicelli, rose syrup and ice-cream. We totally relished it . And it indeed went really well with the biryani.

The Double ka meetha was delectant, The bread was completely soaked in the thick mixture. The ghee and cardamom had a perfect timing here. Good one!

Qubani ka Meetha: Apricots and more apricots and it was a delight loaded with sweetness. An absolute wonder for people with a sweet tooth. The juiciness of the apricots and the extra sweetness made this dish a perfect one.

Gulab Jamun : It looked really great but tasted just above average. It was not soft the way you expect a gulab jamun to be.

Gajar ka halwa: It tasted good but it could have been a bit sweeter. Who doesn’t savour an absolutely sweet Gajar ka halwa !!

The place was quite full with people waiting for a place to sit. That’s how popular a brand Paradise is. The service was really good and the staff was courteous.

It was a wonderful experience altogether. An unforgettable meet-up for us, to be cherished for long !! J
